The Immune System
The immune system is an organization of cells and molecules with specialized roles in defending against infection. The immune system is spread throughout the body and involves many types of cells, organs, proteins, and tissues.
Following are few tips on replacing bad health habits with good ones which can help keep your immune system healthy.
• Not getting enough sleep can lead to higher levels of stress hormone. Hence proper good sleep depending up on age is a must for good immune system.
• Quit smoking, smoking harms the immune system and can make the body less successful at fighting disease
• Try to get regular, moderate exercise, like a daily 30-minute walk. It can help your immune system fight infection.
• Meditate regularly if one is not following a meditation schedule.
• Diet high in red and processed meats, fried foods, fast foods, junk foods, sweets and soda increase the risk for chronic diseases because our immune system is not getting the nutrients they need.
